Merchandise Assistant - Maternity Cover 1 year

We are seeking an intermediate to senior level merchandise assistant who can hit the ground running in this maternity cover contract. There is every possibility the role could go permanent at the end of the 1 year period (or before) depending on what the new Mum decides to do, or if you make yourself indispensable to the team! Territory Sales Manager - Mens Fashion Accessories

Our client offers you the opportunity to forge a career in the Men’s Fashion industry, through their role as Regional Manager for their Fashion Accessories – ties, belts, cufflinks and socks. Travel around the lower North Island – Wellington to Taupo (including East Cape, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Wairapa and everything in between) – building on existing relationships with independent menswear retailers as well as chain stores.

We are seeking applicants who have a passion for menswear, love to wear a tie, and are keen to sell for this well-established business. You will be fully trained in their product by the Sales Manager, and given all the support necessary to succeed. This is an autonomous role, and you will be the sole representative for the company in the region. You must be happy to base yourself from your home as the company has no office in Wellington (head office is in Auckland). This will require you to store a small amount of product and sampling at home (most will fit in the car). You will spend a minimum of five nights away from Wellington a month. The role offers plenty of variety – from Merchandising in Farmers, to calling on existing solid independent customers who know the company well, to working more strategically with head office building new categories like souvenir, ladieswear, and larger accounts like Kirkcaldie & Stains. There is also some involvement with corporate clients and school uniforms.

We are seeking someone with 2-3 years business to business sales (preferably in Menswear), who is looking for the next step in their career. We have big boots to fill in Wellington and require an honest, hard working, and self motivated individual who is a strong communicator (back to head office); steady and reliable to maintain the regular call cycle as well as being capable of presenting to new people - hungry to grow the business. Ideally you will be looking for a long-term career move. It probably goes without saying that you must be well presented, like clothes and understand what a tie is all about. The remuneration package includes a base salary, bonus incentive and full use company vehicle.

Account Manager

This is essentially a merchandise manager role without the travel. You will work closely with the product manager (who travels and does all the sourcing for all the customers) putting together offerings that are current and relevant to your customer. You will then manage the account, and client relationship, selling this offering and managing the whole sales process through to delivery in-store. Garment Tech

We are seeking a highly competent technical person for this role, dealing with the whole process of getting a garment manufactured offshore - from spec or pattern, through to fits and approvals - being the competent liaison between the sales team and the offshore factories. Work within a small and highly supportive (not to mention talented) team.

Project / Brand Manager

This role is a pivotal one in the company providing the conduit between the sales team and production. We're not seeking a designer, but someone who can take a client brief and make it happen - co-ordinating all aspects of product development to produce a high quality product. A varied and interesting role with a small stable company who have a strong reputation in their field.

Retail Planner

We're not expecting to be able to fill this one! We're not sure such a candidate exists - but here goes. We are seeking a nimble planner to work with one of our retail clients. The trouble is that this company are very reactionary to the market and don't plan too far ahead. This is what makes them so good at what they do, but also what makes this role such a tricky one to recruit for. We are seeking a planning whiz, who is used to working in a reactionary market, where things change on a constant basis, and the planning needs will also change on a constant basis - can you see the dilemma?
